Huiyu's wish
Since her youth, Ewa has hoped to gain her father's approval and compete for the position of family head. Her efforts were limited by family rules and her brother's status, but her former wishes did not completely disappear and finally resurfaced at the 1986 family meeting.
Inheritance relationships
Ewa is Kinzo's eldest daughter, Kurausu's younger sister, and Joji's mother. The Kurausu family has lived on Rokken Island for a long time, while the Eha family travels from outside, making the succession of the family head a matter that simultaneously involves sibling rivalry and the future of the next generation.
A new witch
As the fight for gold and inscriptions progresses, the story introduces a new image of witches. Beatrice's original stance is also challenged, with the story centered on the characters' wishes intertwined with a series of events.
