When producing '88☆彡' for 'Project Sekai', Shota Horie co-composed the song with Marashii. Marashii first submitted a draft of the main and chorus, and during an online call, the two played and discussed together, modifying the melody and chords, and then Horie organized the concept into a piece.
Lyrics submitted first. Horie asked about the partial expression, listened to its relationship with the game's content, and kept the first draft; The two also discussed the sense of language and rhythm when lyrics fit into the melody.
Mukai Horie introduced the brass player, and the trumpet, trombone, and alto saxophone during the interlude were recorded by live musicians.
