Urban Legend of 9-dan: Character Design and Key Animation
In 'Kudan: Urban Legend,' Hanekoto was responsible for character design and key animation.
Nine sketches of characters communicate with colors
During the production of 'Kudan: Urban Legend,' Hanekoto first sketched rough sketches based on the character information, then aligned the images with the project team. She increased the usually low saturation of the image, enhancing the impression while maintaining a soft feel.
Design progress for Tatsuko and Little Rabbit
She recalled that Tazi's cute, mature aura and casual outfit design were hard to grasp, leaving behind many rough drafts; The little rabbit quickly formed a clear image, and the design was approved almost in one go.
The order of creating images for the original PC version
According to a pre-release Q&A in 2019, she officially began work in April 2018, sequentially creating character illustrations, packaging illustrations, event CGs, and promotional illustrations, completing related images by March 2019.
Event CG background and coloring
After starting the event CG production, Hanekoto must complete the backgrounds and coloring of these scenes himself. She regarded the number of shots and concerns about the expectations of the screenwriter and team as significant production pressure at this stage.
