The automatic branching map system in "YU-NO" is used to display and revisit story branches.
Rules and Roles
Players cooperate with Reflector and the Jade save to return to branches; items obtained via other routes may resolve previously blocked events. Its function is both to present progress and to solve cross-world puzzles.
Remastered Mio Line: An item that changes companion separation
In the remastered Mio route, cave branches consume items and require the Jade Return Point to be kept. Another branch uses items obtained on the road leading down the shaft, eliminating the separation of companions; The companion in this branch is always Mizuki.
Remake Ayumi route: Return with photos
The remastered Ayumi route provides a specific application for preserving jewel items: after Takuya obtains the meeting photos, he revisits the previously preserved scenes and uses the photos as evidence to alter the subsequent events of Ayumi's route.
Remastered Kanna Line · Cross-route use for Blue Card
In this remastered gameplay, you first obtain the Blue Card on Ayumi's route, then use it at the Kaori branch to enter Geo Technics and obtain the Super Stone to meet the requirements for Kanna's rescue items.
Remastered version: Go back and set up the jewel again
After using the jewel to record the location, you can return to that location from the divergence map. When returning, the jewel will be back in your hand; If you want to keep this return point, it needs to be used again. The points of light on the map mark jewels that have not yet been obtained.
