"Bitter Smile." is a romance adventure produced by Xihua. Yu Yazaki returns to her childhood life in Beimachi, and since her original residence is unavailable, she stays upstairs at a takoyaki shop, rebuilding relationships with the Todoroki sisters and new classmates.

Back to the old neighborhood

Boimachi is located on the outskirts of the city, preserving the riverbank, public bathhouse, and lively shopping street in the evenings. The "Senju" takoyaki restaurant run by Kino Todoroki has both a takeout window and a place for regulars to sit down and eat. You's boarding life revolves around this small shop, with the school and neighborhood closely connected.

The three sisters have different distances

The second daughter, Sakurako, is Yuu's childhood friend, worries and refuses to be honest, and the two often deny what others see as intimacy. The eldest daughter is already working, living alone nearby, and still frequently interacting with family; She treated Yuu more like the familiar girl next door. The third daughter, Mii, is in first grade, enjoys teasing Yuu, and also stands by to observe her sisters' reactions.

Relationships inside and outside the school

Yuki Miyazuhashi and Yu transferred at the same school. He doesn't talk much and is indifferent to things around him, but he never lacks his own persistence. Tomoyo Arikawa admires senior Sakurako from the club and dislikes Yuu; Yuu's younger sister, Xuehua, is concerned about her brother's relationship with Sakurako. The reunion in the small town extends to new classmates, family, and friends.

Nekonyan participated in both key animation and script, marui contributed key animation, and Ryusuke Mutsu contributed to the script. The game first had a PC version, then was ported to Vita via the TGL system. According to the official website, the Vitamin version was released on November 28, 2013, and the Switch version on June 26, 2025.
