The murder case in Motoki Town
The 2019 public edition is set in Motoki Town, Sawa Prefecture: On the morning of April 8, 2020, a body was found in Central Park. The "Curse Killing Arc" centers on Natsumi Furugori, who can sense danger; childhood friend Haruka Shinmura; and the genius girl Erina Goto. Later, the chapters shift perspectives or eras, shifting the 'Death Moon Story' to the deserted settlement, gradually uncovering the mysteries of murder cases and local customs.
Long reading and reviewing materials
This work was created using LiveMaker, and the author has given a reading time range of 50 to 120 hours. The story is divided into sections through flowcharts, and the game also provides encyclopedias, documents, and fillable memos; The update log list includes additional content such as hidden routes and live streaming modes; some materials will be released as progress progresses.
Personal production and remake plans
In a 2025 interview, Satsuki explained that, aside from some illustrations and reading assistance, the original work was mainly created by him over three and a half years. The commercial remake of "Worship Moon Shining Flower ~April 8th~" is another project: he hopes to fix the original setting and logical issues, and add new content for players who have read the free version to experience.
Free version released and updated
The free Windows version was registered on the release platform on April 2, 2019. The author's update log shows that version 2.0 in 2024 made adjustments to some settings and features; Yumegen Yofurim! All pages are available in version 2.0.0.4. Additional features of the free version
In July 2020, episodes 1.15.17.15 added live mode for specific cursed routes, and in August 1.16.19.16, a clear gallery unlocked after clearing was added. The author explained that the secondary creation of the stock image has been licensed, and the original free version materials still have non-commercial restrictions.
2.0 Update and Data Release
On April 8, 2024, version 2.0.0.0 adjusted some settings and specifications, and removed some features; on April 27, 2.0.0.4 fixed the report reference error in the open judgment. Events, documents, and flowcharts help readers review long stories; different records should be viewed according to their respective editions.
The scope of the remake
April 8th on Steam is a free commercial remake developed and published by New++. In a 2025 interview, Satsuki set goals to fix settings, organize logic, and add new elements; As of this read, the store release date is still pending announcement.
